Subject: Regarding the privacy of customers.
Sir,
Since you have asked me for a weekly report furnishing the details of my customers, I would like to bring to your attention my concerns regarding the same. Having provided services to my customers for almost 18 long years, I have forged a connection of trust with them. Also, I have never been accused of any involvement in illegal business activities.
As we know restaurants are a place for recreation where people come to eat, enjoy and entertain themselves, asking them their IDs would be a great turn-off for them and will severely affect my business. Further sharing their IDs could compromise their privacy, violating their constitutional right. Consequently, I may be found guilty and can be penalized. I hope you will understand my position.
I anxiously wait for your reply.
Yours truly,
Manojit.
